When and where is the event?
The 2026 PS9 benefit is taking place on Saturday, May 16 from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn Children's Museum.
Bidding for the silent auction typically opens a week or two before the event and will remain open through the end of the event on Saturday.
How can I get involved?
You can get involved in various ways, such as securing sponsorships, coordinating catering, writing auction item descriptions, or decorating on event day. Join the Benefit for PS9 committee on Konstella to stay updated. Planning meetings usually start in November to begin sponsorship outreach.
What kind of auction items are you looking for?
We welcome items of all types! Popular auction items are vacation home-stays, gift certificates, sporting event or concert tickets, luxury products and unique experiences. In addition to donations from our wonderful community business partners, we welcome parent and family contributions! Examples include handmade jewelry, crafts or art, music lessons and art gallery tours.
How do I donate and what information is needed about my donated auction item?
Please submit all donations through the Betterworld donation link. Please provide a detailed description, an image, and redemption instructions for auction winners. Include any restrictions (e.g., expiration) and indicate if you prefer anonymity. Thank you for your support!
How do I register to bid in the auction?
BetterWorld is the platform for purchasing event tickets and bidding in the silent auction. Once the auction site is live, you can register to bid. You can opt for outbid notifications and set a max bid on items. For more tips, visit the BetterWorld FAQ page.
I can’t go to the event, but can I still participate in the auction?
Absolutely! You do not need to be in attendance to participate in the auction. We also encourage you to send the auction link to family and friends outside of the PS9 community to participate in the fun and to help raise money!
Will there be child care?
Yes! We are thrilled that TEiAMs provides on-site child care at the event. We have a set number of spots and the cost is around $45 per kid. First-come, first-served. Child care tickets will be posted on the event website.
I won an auction item, now what?
Wahoo! The benefit committee will be in touch the week or so following in the event for item distribution. Winners will be able to pick up physical items from PS9 and will be notified when to come by.
