After School Enrichment
The PS9 PTO would like to announce the lineup of classes for PS9’s Winter After School Enrichment 2023! This is the second year the PTO has partnered with TEiAM to facilitate our on-site after school enrichment classes. We have old favorites returning and exciting new options. There are three separate eight-week sessions throughout the year, offering a range of options from sports to arts and sciences. Classes take place at PS9 and are open to students whether or not they regularly attend on-site after school.
On-site enrichment providers may also have off-site after school offerings.
Winter Session
The winter session of after school enrichment begins on Tuesday, January 17. Classes take place at PS9. Class minimums must be met before classes are confirmed - classes that are under-enrolled will be cancelled.
Eligibility
After school enrichment classes are open to PS9 students in kindergarten through grade 5 and are open to students whether or not they regularly attend on-site after school. For those students not signed up for TEiAM, there is a once a year registration fee of $50.
Timing
Each class is an hour long, once a week. There are two different enrichment periods each day: period 1 runs from 3:00 to 4:00, period 2 runs from 4:00 to 5:00
Pick up and Dismissal
- TEiAM will get pick up students from their classroom at dismissal. Students in enrichment period 2 will be cared for by TEiAM until their class begins
- Students who are enrolled with an on-site after school provider will be returned to their usual provider after class
- Students who are not enrolled with an on-site after school provider will be released to their designated caregiver after class
- Dismissal time depends on which enrichment period the class is scheduled - period 1 ends at 4:00, period 2 ends at 5:00
Cost & Fees
- Each class costs $300
- For those students not signed up for TEiAM, there is a once a year registration fee of $50
- Parents picking up students more than 15 minutes after their class ends will pay the TEiAM emergency drop in fee of $25
