Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students who are not picked up on time are taken to Room B8 and kept there until 3:20 pm. To pick up a student from there, enter through the main entrance on Underhill Avenue.
Students in Grades 1 to 5 who are not picked up at 2:40 pm will be brought to the Auditorium to wait. If the student is not picked up shortly after 2:40 pm they will be brought to the main office and staff will attempt to contact a parent or guardian. Caregivers will then be required to sign the student(s) out in the official Sign Out binder.
Early pickup must occur before 2:00 pm unless there is an extreme emergency.
If the student needs to be picked up early, their classroom teacher should be informed in writing in advance. Phone calls and text confirmations to school staff will not be accepted.
To leave school before dismissal, students must be signed out in the main office. Only a parent or designated guardian may pick up a child, and their names(s) must be listed on the Blue Emergency Contact Card. The person picking up a student must have a valid photo ID (Passport, New York State Driver License, Non-Driver ID card, or IDNYC). Children may not leave school during the school day with a person who is younger than 18 years old.
