On December 24, 2020 our community joined together (though apart) to celebrate the premiere.

Under the leadership of Iris Wilson, the vibrant dance program at PS9 is one of the things that sets us apart from other elementary schools. The winter and spring performances have been highlights of our school year – times for community and celebration.
Since December 2014 our community has braved the darkness and cold of the season and bundled in to the auditorium at John Jay High School. There, we marveled at our talented young dancers as they transported us into the magical story of the Nutcracker and guided us on our visit to the “Land of Sweet Harlem”.
Despite the challenges of 2020, Ms. Wilson was determined that “the show must go on.” Re-imagining the choreography for the screen rather than the stage, this year’s performance is fully digital.
This performance is dedicated to the memory of our beloved Mrs. Sandra Santos-Vizcaino.
