Admission Information for Zoned Students
Most elementary students in New York City attend their zoned school. A zoned school is a neighborhood school for all students who live in a designated area, and is determined by the student’s home address.
Early Childhood and Gifted and Talented
Admissions for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and the Gifted and Talented program are handled by the New York City Department of Education. To learn more about these processes, visit the DOE’s website.
Grades 1 to 5
The majority of students in grades 1 to 5 who reside within the zone are admitted to PS9. Admissions from grades 1 to 5 are processed within the school by our Community Associate in charge of Pupil Accounting.
