THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
We wish to thank all those who contributed to our very successful fund raising event. Our goal was $82,000 and we have tallied just over $10,000 so far with monies still to be collected. Just as valuable, if not more so than the funds to save our arts program was the team work, community building, talking, sharing and laughter that occurred among the PS9 family as a direct result of this event. Like the value of our “Principal for A Day” prize, working and playing together was also Priceless! We are also happy to announce the classroom winners of the ticket sales incentive: Ms. Paynter (KB-8) first prize ($100 cash for the classroom and a classroom ice cream trip to Blue Marble Ice Cream Shop); Ms. Henriquez (K-B2) second prize ($75 cash for the classroom); Ms Johnston (K-B4) third prize ($75 cash for the classroom). The winner of our bicycle lottery is also from class K-B2! Congratulations parents and thank your family members and friends who helped to make this all possible. Last note, when you stop by our local business supporters, let them know that you are from PS9 and thank them on our behalf.
Refreshments provided by Forever Cheese, Little Miss Muffin Bakery Mount Gay Rum, IZZE Sparkling Juice, Barterra Winery and Sixpoint Craft Ales
