PACC is pleased to offer the following specialized workshops, in conjunction with outside vendors, for the 10 week 2017 Winter session.
All Payments are due January 9th
You can pay via Quickpay or place a check for full amount in the PACC box behind the door in the main office. Please make sure you write your child’s name on the check.
Please note that parents will need to enroll in PACC After School to participate in the workshops. Late pickups from the enrichment class will be charged $25 fee for After school.
Registration fee is $40 annually. Payment via check or Money order with completed form to drop box in main office marked PACC. Payments are non refundable. NO CASH ACCEPTED

CrossFit Kingsboro Kids $200 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson Tuesdays 3pm-4pm 2nd – 5th grade. CrossFit is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. The program is for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids. CrossFit Kids is designed to be minimalist; it is inexpensive and often requires little or no equipment, allowing a wide array of socioeconomic groups an opportunity to be physically fit and physically active throughout their lives. http://www.crossfitkingsboro.com
JEWELRY MAKING, $280 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson Mon or Tues 3pm-4pm for 2nd – 5th Grades. P.S. 9 Mom & Entrepreneur Raina Stubbs will be teaching beginning jewelry making and design. Your child will also learn about product cost and production time so he or she can become little entrepreneurs too!
BRICKS 4 KIDZ, $230 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson Tues Kindergarten 3pm- 4pm for 1st-3rd grade 4pm-5pm. Pre K Thurs 3pm-4pm This is a hands-on class where students build machines, buildings, vehicles and other structures out of LEGO® bricks, using one-of-a-kind model plans designed by Bricks 4 Kidz®. While exploring principles of engineering, architecture, physics and more, students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. A new project is built each week. Classes begin with a teacher-led discussion related to the day’s model. Once the project is completed, students use the rest of their time to expand their gadgets and collaborate with one another. PIANO SCHOOL OF NYC, $260 for a 10 week session, 30 min lessons, Mon or Wed from 3pm for all grades. All students are encouraged to learn basic Music & Piano Skills: Introduction to Piano, listening, singing, clapping, followed by note reading & writing, Music Theory, Music History, Piano/Keyboard skills, and more. SOCCER, $170 for a 10 week session, 1 hr class, Wed 4:45pm-5:45pm, PreK-1st grade. Soccer at PS9 is a program designed to develop basic soccer skills in a safe, fun and structured environment. This is an introductory program to soccer. Coaches will focus on teaching students the rules of soccer, while developing basic ball handling skills. They will learn the importance of discipline, responsibility and team work as their soccer skills grow. If your child stays just for Soccer there will be a charge of $15 for PACC childcare
MIXED MEDIA ART & DECOUPAGE, $240 for a 10 week session, 1 hr 15 min class, Mon or Wed 3pm-4:15pm, PreK- 3rd Grade.
Come join the fun and pave your way to originality, creativity and expression through art! While using imagination, your child will learn basic techniques in mixed media art & découpage. Children will use studio-quality materials including tempera, acrylics, watercolor, oil & chalk pastels, collage, découpage and more, while exploring their own creativity through art. Recycled materials are used in appreciation for saving our environment for the future. For those students wishing to repeat a series, all art lessons and crafts are always new and unique!. EZRA GUITAR, $240 for a 10 week session, 40 min lessons from 3pm onwards, Thurs, All Grades. A fresh and innovative method that will teach students the basic elements of music making, from reading music to performance. CLAY WORLD, $310 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson, 3pm-4pm, Wed or Fri, Kindergarten-5th Grade. Clay World Art Studio explores the magic of clay modeling, using your hands as sculpting tools and Polymer Clay as the media. This workshop improves children’s fine motor skills and artistic capabilities. Different techniques such as pointillism, spreads, textured clay among others will be implemented to create a clay character. Children will bring all their creations back home.www.clayworld.org
MANDARIN, $230 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson, Mon 3:30pm-4:30pm, PreK-1st Grade. Lango teaches a second language using the “Adventure Learning” method which combines stories, music, movement, acting and games. We provide supplementary materials to our curriculum—such as the thematic workbook and CD – to be used at home to reinforce the material covered in class. With these measures in place, the child will first understand words, then sentences and questions and eventually engage in simple conversation.
NEW YORK CHESS & GAMES, $180 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson, Fri 3:30pm-4:30pm, All Grades Whether introducing beginner students to the game or enhancing and developing the play of experienced students, NYCG’s curriculum is taught in a fun and engaging way. The instructors are patient, friendly and have years of experience teaching chess to children. ADVANCE PIANO, $260 for a 10 week session, 30 min lesson from 3pm onwards, Tues or Thurs, All Grades. Advance Piano is a class where 2 students will learn music theory, proper performing techniques on the instrument, playing individually and together (as in a duet). Students will also get finger exercises for strengthening and chord study for improvisation. They will learn their music well enough to be able to perform in an end of school year recital.
BASKETBALL, $170 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson, Tues 4:45pm-5:45pm, All Grades. Basketball at PS9 is a program designed to develop basic basketball skills in a safe, fun and structured environment. This is an introductory program to basketball. STORYBOOK THEATER, $230 for a 10 week session, 1 hour lesson, Fri 3pm-4pm, PreK- 2nd Grade. Grab your passports and fasten your seatbelts. We are going on a voyage around the world. Though storytelling, music, and movement, children will explore folk-tales, legends and fables from around the world. This immersive theater workshop will have children up on their feet and moving, singing and exploring the art of telling stories using their bodies, voices, facial expressions and imaginations! . http://www.brooklynactinglab.org/
CODE CLUB $210 for a 10 week session, 1.5 hour lesson on Wednesdays 3:30pm-5pm. 2nd grade – 5th grade. Kids will be introduced to programming and computational thinking by playing and making games with Scratch, a visual programming language designed for kids, and curriculum inspired by code.org.
ADVENTURES IN MYTHOLOGY, $200 for a 10 week session on Thursdays, 1 hour lesson, 3pm-4pm K-2nd Grade, 3rd-5th 4pm-5pm Adventures in Mythology is a romp through classic mythology. We infuse timeless stories of creation, chivalry and war with arts and crafts, physical challenges, story-making and dynamic play to increase reading skill and interest. Students will use critical thinking to solve puzzles, complete design/build challenges and much more to become modern day ‘heroes’ of Olympus.
MusicStart for Beginners: $165 for a 10 week session on Tuesdays,1 hour lesson 3pm-4pm K- 2nd Grade Learn to Read Music and Play Tunes!
MusicStart is the ideal, from scratch, beginning instrumental experience for young kids. They play familiar tunes using custom-designed portable electronic keyboards (provided) that are geared for learning and problem-solving, step by step, in an encouraging way. Students learn to play through color, letter, and note matching, while absorbing the basics of music. Skills are transferrable to other musical instruments and to other areas of school work as well. So if you (a) don’t own an instrument, (b) don’t know which instrument you want to do, and/or (c) want an educational and fun warm-up to playing, start here… There will be plenty of time for the other offerings (piano, guitar, violin) next.

All Classes are held at PS9. Your child will be picked up from their classroom and brought to PACC until the classes start. If you have signed up for after school then your child will be returned to PACC, Tennis or Kids Orbit. If they are not signed up for after school, you must pick your child up after their class.
