Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 9:00 to 10:00 am, as PS 9 students will parade outside the school with a walk onto Vanderbilt Ave. and Bergen St., dressed as their favorite storybook character and their books!

Students are encouraged to dress in a Halloween costume inspired by a favorite book. They can also carry the book with them on the parade walk.

Following the parade, PS 9’s fifth graders will hose the annual Harvest Festival. This year’s theme is “Reading in the Barnyard.”

Parent volunteers are needed to assist with arts & craft activities, including face-painting and story and poetry read-alouds. The festival will run from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

All classrooms will be scheduled to attend. We will also celebrate our harvest with a dance story presentation of “Dance of the Rain Gods” directed by Ms. Wilson. This dance presentation will begin immediately following our parade in the school’s auditorium.
