PS9 students and their families ROCK! We are proud to say that in our eighth year, we’ve had another amazing Pennies for Patients fundraising campaign with students contributing from their piggy banks and even their Super Bowl box wins!
Our final Pennies for Patients fundraising total is $2,792.18 which surpassed this year’s goal of $2,600!
We’d also like to announce that Class 201 (Ms. McNeil) had the largest number of students donating, with the largest class total (more than $600 raised)! Class 201 will enjoy a pizza party and will participate in the Principal’s Pennies Dance Party with all other student donors!
Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country. The funds, which were collected during a three-week period earlier this spring, benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Thanks again for everyone who donated, and to all those who supported the Pennies for Patients fundraiser for the LLS.
