PS9 Arrival and Dismissal Procedures 2010-2011
Due to the construction in our playground/schoolyard, we cannot utilize the space for our arrival and dismissal procedures. It is essential that everyone follows the new procedures as they are outlined in the downloadable memo.

Project: Back to School – Spetember 8th -17th
PS9 will again participate this year in the Coalition for the Homeless’ 3rd Annual, Project: Back to School from September 8th – 17th. You can donate school supplies at PS9’s lobby collection boxes which will be donated to New York’s 15,000 homeless boys and girls. PS9 Playground Renovation News
NYC DOE’s School Construction Authority (SCA) has notified the PS9 school and community that renovations will commence on PS9’s playground shortly.

- Meet your child’s teacher(s), while visiting your new classroom
- Meet representatives of your Parent’s Association
- Sign up for classroom and school wide volunteering
- Join the administrative staff for a brief parent orientation in the school’s auditorium at 9:45 am
NOTE:
PRE-KINDERGARTEN students will have 2-hour class sessions from 8:40-10:40am on Wednesday, September 8th through Tuesday, September 14th.
KINDERGARTEN students will have half-day dismissal at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8th and Monday, September 13th.

If you are interested in applying for pre-kindergarten in the Round 2 process, please check this website on July 19 for an electronic copy of the Pre-Kindergarten Round 2 Directory and the online application link. Directories which include the paper application will also be available at Borough Enrollment Offices.

It is important that you log in to verify your child’s data in the system, to check for updates in attendance and NYS test scores, and even to get helpful parent resources.
